Our story

Every family has a recipe that lives only in someone's head.

A pinch of this, a handful of that, roasted "until it smells right." For generations, the best Indian cooking was never written down. It lived with our mothers and grandmothers, taught by standing beside them at the stove.

When we moved across the world, we brought the memories but not the masalas. Store-bought powders came close, but never close enough.

Kanchi Foods began with one goal: to capture that taste, the one that lived between their ears, and bring it to families here in North America. Each blend starts with a traditional regional recipe, made with whole spices and the same roast-and-grind care our elders used.

We don't claim to replace Amma's cooking. We're just trying to make sure it's never far away.
